Obituary of Norman Austin Schock

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norman (Norm) Austin Schock, on January 12, 2022, in Creston, BC, at the age of 86 years.

Norm was born on April 5, 1935, in Kapaskasing, ON to parents Anne and Austin Schock.  He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) in 1952 and chose air traffic control as his trade.  Norm attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer and lived and worked on 21 bases in both Canada and Europe, spanning a 35-year career.

Norm married the love of his life, Wendy, in 1963 and they raised two sons as they moved from place to place.  He retired to Creston from Cold Lake, AB in 1987 and enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, travelling and enjoying life to the fullest.

Norm will be dearly missed by his wife of 59 years, Wendy, sons Ron (Terrie) and Bob (Dawn), four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

No Celebration of Life Service to be held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to make a memorial contribution may do so to the Creston Valley Hospital, Bag 3000, Creston, BC V0B 1G0.
